Since September2023, there has been a decrease in property prices in the market. However, in Grenoble, the situation is different. The real estate market in Grenoble continues to be characterized by rising prices.
Unlike most French cities, apartment and house prices in Grenoble continue to rise. In Lyon, Paris and Brittany, the decline in real estate values reaches -8% compared to 2022.
In the capital of the Alps, price growth continues month on month.
Growth of 4.9% for the year
For would-be buyers, bargains are rare in the Grenoble real estate market. According to Meilleurs Agents and Insee, price growth is impressive. Over the year, the value of properties has increased by almost 5%.

- 1 year: +4.9%
- 2 years: +12.9%
- 5 years: +30.9%
- 10 years: +29.7%
Among the most expensive areas are Ile Verte and the historic center.
The average price per square meter in Grenoble is 3,027 euros as of early October 2023.
Decrease in 2024?
Is it possible that the real estate market in Grenoble will finally follow the national trend and see a decline? According to the publication Capital, the price per square meter of apartments is expected to drop. A decrease of 1-5% is anticipated by spring 2024.
