Real Estate: Brett Baier's House for Sale for $32 Million | Georgetowner

Leading news journalist Bret Baier from Fox News and his wife Amy (who currently serves as the chair of the Board of the National Children's Hospital Foundation) have listed their home for sale at a record price of $32 million. If sold at this price, it will become the most expensive residential real estate transaction in the history of Washington, D.C.
The house is a luxurious estate covering 16,250 square feet (about 1,512 square meters), situated on one and a half acres of land. It features five bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, and two half-baths. Completed just last year, the home includes a private gym, a movie theater, a spa, a golf simulator, a heated pool measuring 56 feet in length, a living room with a floor-to-ceiling wine cabinet, and many other luxurious amenities.
The design of the house was inspired by the Château du Grand-Luce in France. You will notice the attention to detail from interior designer Thomas Fizant, as well as the work of developer Michael Banks, architect David Jones, and landscape architect Richard Arentz.
Arentz wanted the landscape to be as important as the house itself, and it's easy to see how his plantings of mature plants from all over the United States create a sense of seclusion and tranquility. Among the gardens, you'll find a private "chip and putt" golf area. The house is fenced for privacy and features an indoor sports area for the active Bayer teenagers.
The dining room can accommodate 14 guests, as the Buyers enjoyed entertaining people from both sides of the political spectrum.
