"Real estate in Montenegro: Is in high demand among residents of South Africa."
According to data from experts at Sable International, Montenegro, along with Portugal and Malta, is among the three most popular European destinations for investors from South Africa who are investing their funds in real estate abroad.
Andrew Risik, the director of Sable International, stated that for those who cannot obtain a second passport through traditional means such as ancestry or marriage, an alternative is acquiring citizenship through investment. "Most buyers are looking for stable offshore real estate investments that offer either residency or citizenship and easy access to Europe. Some move immediately, while others seek simpler investment conditions that only require a few days of stay in the country per year," said Risik.
"Montenegro may be small, but it has a lot to boast about, with beautiful landscapes overlooking the Adriatic Sea, an open way of life, unique villages, and friendly locals," said Risik.
From a financial standpoint, he added, Montenegro is ready to join the European Union, and anyone who buys property now is likely to make a significant profit if the country becomes an EU member. "Aside from the COVID-19 situation, Montenegro has been named a trending tourist destination and is heavily focused on business investments.
For the Montenegrin economic citizenship program, applicants must invest in approved projects in the country. The benefits of the investments include the ability to live, work, or study in Montenegro and visa-free travel to over 120 countries, as noted by the IOL portal. (Source: Vijesti online)
