The Germans are increasingly choosing Montenegro as a new place of residence. They say that life here is cheaper and of higher quality, and is not reduced to work only.

According to the data, in 2022, Germans rank first among foreigners buying real estate in Montenegro. One such example is the Haase family, who moved from Munich to the town of Dobre Vode off the coast of Bara. Gerd Haase founded a furniture manufacturing company here and believes that life in Montenegro is not only cheaper, but also of a higher quality than in Germany. He notes that here families stick together, unlike in Germany where people work more and socialize little. Haase is convinced that the slow pace of life, sun and sea are valuable advantages of living on the Montenegrin coast. He notes that despite the non-ideal infrastructure, life and government here is great. He thinks Germany is organized, but he lacked freedom and time to breathe.

The Haase family has half the expenses compared to Germany, but the quality of life, they say, is much better.

Most Germans who leave Montenegro for Germany, in search of a better life, look back and realize that they actually get nothing but stress. They realize that it is an illusion of the good life in Germany.

German couple Julija and Senad Dacic decided to return to Montenegro after years of living in Germany. They chose the city of Bar on the coast of Montenegro. Julia believes that there are opportunities to open a new business in the service and service sector, which are lacking in Montenegro. They are happy that their two-year-old son is growing up in Montenegro and are confident that he will be safe and happy here. Although the quality of education in Montenegro is lower than in Germany, Julia believes that this is not a condition for happiness. She is happy that her son will grow up in Montenegro.

The interest of Germans in Montenegro continues to grow, and they rank first in the number of foreigners buying real estate in the country. There are 752 German citizens living in Montenegro, and in January another 737 registered for stays of up to 90 days.
