The new book "Food on Tour with Indie Musicians" featuring Fleet Foxes, Weyes Blood, Animal Collective, and others.

Eating during vacation is enjoyable, but eating on the road is not the best activity. The endless desert of fast food joints and luxurious gas stations does not contribute to good health or culinary diversity. If anyone knows about this, it's indie musicians, many of whom spend months on tour with a tight budget.
Moreover, every time I hear that an indie musician is going on a diet, they talk about their love for Korean stew and other delicacies that are usually not available on American highways.
For the book, they interviewed more than 40 of their colleagues in indie music, including names likeRobin Pecknold (Fleet Foxes), Natalie Mering (Weyes Blood), Mark Ibold (Pavement)and others.
BookTaste In Music: Eating On Tour With Indie Musicianswill be released on September 24 through Chronicle Books.
