Election of general manager and board members of the American Chamber of Commerce.

On Dec. 7, Georgia held elections for general manager and board members of the American Chamber of Commerce. Irakli Baidashvili was elected as the new president of the Chamber of Commerce, Michael Cogley was elected as the first vice president, and Giorgi Tkhelidze was elected as the vice president for the position of president and chief auditor.

Irakli Baidashvili has served as first vice president at the Chamber of Commerce until today. He represents GMT, a U.S.-based group, at the U.S.

After the elections, the following members of the organization's board were also elected:

• Craig Kramer (recently elected) - Gulf Georgia

• Georgy Svanadze (recently elected) - MG Law
• Sarah Williamson, elected as President-Emeritus and member of the Board of Directors Emeritus
• Betsy Haskell was also elected to a two-year term as a member of the board of management honorary board, with elections to be held next year.

112th member of the Chamber of Commerce has been mandated to run for election. The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) is the largest international business association in Georgia, uniting more than 200 companies and representing the interests of business in the country.

The primary purpose of the organization is to promote economic and trade cooperation between the U.S. and Georgia, protect business interests and promote development. Committees of the American Chamber of Commerce deal with the following issues: agriculture, corporate social responsibility, construction and real estate, education, environmental protection, tourism, innovation and entrepreneurship.
