The deal has yet to close, but all indications are that the WellBe building located in the Parque de las Nations will become the new headquarters of Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD). The state bank will have to pay between 160 and 170 million for the space.

The ECO newspaper reports that Banco de Portugal (BdP) was also in the running for the Lisbon office building.

The WellBe project being developed by Atenor and Besix Red, as reported by idealista/news, is the first 'green' office building in Lisbon, seeking WELL Platinum and Passive House, low-carbon certifications.''It will consist of 27,635 square meters of office space spread over 11 floors, green areas and views of the Tagus River.

According to ECO, negotiations are underway for this office building under construction in Nations Park to be customized to meet the needs of the bank.

While remaining a tenant, CGD will continue to use the current building on Juan XXI Street until 2026, despite already''has vacated about 32,000 square meters of this property, which will be occupied by the state.
