The new office of SGD in the Park of Nations will cost160 million.

The agreement has not been finalized yet, but everything points to the fact that the WellBe building, located in Parque das Nações, will become the new headquarters of Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD). According to information published in the newspaper ECO, the Bank of Portugal (BdP) was also in the running for the office building in Lisbon. However, it is most likely that the deal will be concluded by the organization led by António Masedu.

Project WellBe

The WellBe project, created by Atenor and Besix Red, as reported by idealista/news, is the first "green" office building in Lisbon, aiming to obtain WELL Platinum and Passive House certifications with low carbon emissions. It will consist of 27,635 square meters of office space spread over 11 floors, green areas, and views of the Tagus River.

In addition to offices, WellBe will feature 1,240 square meters of retail space, 1,865 square meters of terraces, 267 private parking spots (plus 129 public parking spots), bike parking, showers and lockers for employees, a gym, wellness centers, and other features that ensure the use of a modern building management system.

According to ECO, negotiations are currently underway to adapt this office building, which is under construction in the Nations Park, to meet the bank's requirements.

CGD will remain in its current headquarters on João XXI Street as a tenant until 2026, despite having already vacated approximately 32,000 square meters of space that will be occupied by the state.
