Central Company of Pattana Plc (CPN)
plans to open its 42nd mall called Central Nakhon Pathom on March 30. The company said that the new mall is located in the city center and integrates the lifestyle of residents and surrounding areas under the concept of "A New Chapter of Happiness". Central Nakhon Pathom is located on an area of over 100 rai and has a total built area of 133,000 square meters. It includes a shopping center, a hotel, Escent apartments, a residential complex and an urban park of 4 rai to meet the needs of all generations.
CPN is promoting the mall and Nakhon Pathom as a "gateway to the western region", offering strong economic and tourism potential to support expansion in the prestigious urban location, next to Phetkasem Road. Natakit Tangpunsintana, chief marketing officer at CPN, says: "Nakhon Pathom province has strong economic potential as its GDP has been growing annually and ranks third in the central region." "The province supports population expansion from Bangkok, growing real estate projects, and several mega projects. Examples of such projects include the SRT Light Red Line connecting Nakhon Pathom to downtown Bangkok."
The province has two highways - Bang Yai-Kanchanaburi and Chon Buri-Saraburi-Nakhon Pathom - as well as the Central and Western Economy Trade Corridor. The mall supports the purchasing power of its residents and can expand to new surrounding areas in Ratchaburi and Kanchanaburi, he says.
Pojanna Suwantawisri, general manager of CPN Region (BKK1), said the opening events will focus on the concept of "A New Chapter of Happiness - Civilizing Nakhon Pathom" and invite residents and visitors to join in the celebration. Features include a swing tango-style performance by Nadech Kugimiya and Urassaya "Yaya" Sperbund in a performance titled "Civilization: a New Dawn," highlighting the richness of Nakhon Pathom culture. The square in front of the mall will be the venue for retro dancing, and spectators will be invited to take part in a swing dance, with the aim of setting a record in the Asian record book for the largest number of dancers in Thailand, Ms. Pojanna said.
"Plans include fireworks and a projection mapping show projecting images of the Nakhon Pathom civilization onto the façade of the mall, using the 'Luminary of Celebration' concept created by renowned collage artist Nakrob Munmanus to celebrate the opening," she said.
