The biggest real estate deal of 2022 has been announced

American fund Davidson Kempner (DK) has notified the Regulator that it has acquired 17 luxury hotels, three golf courses and a shopping center in Funchal in a deal worth around €800 million. It was the largest real estate deal done last year.

The DK Fund has notified the Competition Commission (AdC) to buy a portfolio of travel assets from banks. According to an announcement published in Jornal de Negócios, ownership of this portfolio will be through DK Fund's affiliate, Hospitality Living Portugal.

The portfolio includes 17 luxury hotels as well as residential and real estate assets previously managed by the ECS fund.

The deal includes 17 golf courses in northern Portugal, Lisbon and the Algarve, three golf courses in the Algarve, a shopping center in Funchal and two warehouses in Alenchera and Famalicão.
