Great offers: the best hotels that can be booked with Choice points.

Now that Preferred Hotels & Resorts can be easily booked online, many have been wondering which of them offer the best value for your points. To find this out, hotels were identified that offer at least 1 cent for every Choice point throughout the year. Considering that both Citi ThankYou Rewards and Wells Fargo Rewards transfer points at a 1 to 2 ratio to Choice, this means that the hotels shown in this post offer a minimum value of 2 cents per point for Citi or Wells. That's great.

To find the best options, I compared the prices for Choice points with the "starting" cash prices from Preferred Hotels (found here). Not all Preferred Hotels show starting prices, but most do. Then I filtered out all the hotels that reliably offer around 1 cent per point or better (I actually filtered out hotels offering more than 0.95 cents per point).

Here are several hotels that offer excellent value for money throughout the year when booked using Choice points. The list does not include hotels for which the Preferred Hotels website does not specify a starting price. It also excludes hotels that only offer great value during peak season. Below are hotels that offer at least around 1 cent per Choice point year-round. These hotels with the best value for money are sorted at the top of the list.
