The House of Representatives is planning a special session.

A meeting took place in ministerial circles dedicated to the general debates in parliament on Wednesday. A special session of the House is expected to be convened next month or in June for the first reading of the budget bill for the 2025 fiscal year. This was reported by House Speaker Wan Muhamad Nur Mata. According to him, the government plans to complete discussions on spending proposals by the middle of this year, which will create an opportunity for a special session if the bill is submitted by the cabinet. The current session of parliament will conclude on April 9, and the next session will begin on July 3. Wan Nur noted that if a special session is organized for the first reading of the budget bill, other important legislative initiatives may also be considered.
