A new crime series about European kings has been created at Exactly Right Media and Blanchard House. Entitled "The Butterfly King," the serialized narrative podcast tells the story of the mystery surrounding the shocking death of the King of Bulgaria. When King Boris III of Bulgaria dies in mysterious circumstances during World War II, there is no reason to suspect anyone, the logo reads. But more than eighty years later, his death remains unsolved. This eight-episode limited edition podcast investigates the mysterious death of the Butterfly King, leading listeners on a fascinating journey and uncovering a trail of dissidents, poisoners, soldiers and spies to unravel eighty years of lies and cover-ups. This tragic family saga of a doomed royal dynasty is a story of betrayal, deception and the pursuit of truth. The series is written and produced by Emma Jane Kirby and hosted by Dependent on Freddie presenter Becky Milligan.
