Police are looking for four suspects who masqueraded as property owners in the GTA to commit mortgage loan fraud.

Полиция разыскивает 4 подозреваемых, которые маскировались как владельцы недвижимости в GTA для мошенничества с ипотечным кредитом.

Peel District police are looking for four suspects who were allegedly involved in a real estate scam in Grater Toronto. They sold their rental properties and, in one case, took out second mortgages posing as the owner.

Police said the incidents occurred between June and October 2022. The suspects allegedly rented several properties in the GTA using false documents. In one case, when the property was vacant, they posed as the owner and opened accounts in their own names, police said. They then allegedly sold the property by depositing the money in the fake account.
