Korean Embassy celebration of 60 years of immigration to Brazil

The event was part of the completion of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Korean immigration to Brazil.

It was in February 1963 that the ship that brought the first 103 Koreans to Brazilian territory arrived in Santos, São Paulo state. Also on Friday at 10:00 a.m., there will be a seminar on biotechnology cooperation between Brazil and Korea. Later, at 4:30 p.m., Korean businessmen will discuss opportunities to expand investment in Brazil. The event is scheduled to conclude with a taekwondo championship on Sunday, Oct. 29. The tournament will be held at the Mauro Pineiro Sports Hall.
