Joe Sitt was asked about competition among luxury retailers for facilities, which he believes “these facilities tend to move cyclically with their securities and businesses.”
Businesses liquidate assets when securities don't produce preferably, and when they do produce well, “businesses become buyers under the pressure of fear that the next wave of demand will cause private equity firms [like Thor] to take advantage and inflate rents for better properties.”
Inflation andreal estate
As for inflation, Mr. Sitt believes many leaders across industries are aware of the “long-term potential for macro effects” and are “trying to anticipate that and take advantage of inexpensive prices.”
In a divided market, long-term inflation will ultimately “favor assets such as real estate.”
Impact of world conflicts
Looking at the effects of conflict abroad, he considers that theU.S.contributes to the global conflict with the decision to deploy 2,000 Green Berets on the Taiwanese islands.
