The Prime Minister is proposing a plan to build the tallest tower in the world.

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin is negotiating with investors from the Middle East and China about a multifunctional megaproject in Bangkok. A group of investors, led by a real estatedeveloper from Dubai, is discussing the construction of a mixed-use skyscraper in Thailand that could claim the title of the tallest building in the world. The Prime Minister met with representatives from companies in the Middle East and China, including Emaar Group, Broad Group, and Vatone Group, to discuss plans to build the tallest building in the world in Thailand. The talks are in the early stages for a "super-tall building," according to Mohamed Alabbar, the founder of Emaar.

According to Srettha, the project in Thailand will include a large department store, offices, a financial center, a hotel, and an entertainment center. The Prime Minister stated that this project could become an "artificial tourist destination," attracting even more visitors to Thailand.

Thailand is seeing more than a 40% increase in the number of incoming foreign tourists this year, demonstrating the success of its visa-free entry programs and simplified travel rules. This year, the country aims to welcome between 35 to 40 million foreign tourists, approaching the pre-pandemic record of 40 million visitors in 2019.
