A village is for sale in Galicia with 6 houses, a bar-restaurant, a vineyard, surrounded by beautiful hiking trails.
In Spain, it has become fashionable to buy abandoned villages and settlements, mainly due to the development opportunities and affordable prices, often not exceeding 300,000 euros. Recently, a Dutch couple purchased the village of Barsena de Bureba in the province of Burgos for 339,000 euros. This village, abandoned for over half a century, consists of 62 houses and plots and serves as a striking example of the growing interest in rehabilitating such areas.
But the rural real estate market in Spain is not limited to just abandoned villages: there are also ready-to-move-in or business-ready villages that can be purchased and immediately put to use after buying. One such case is the village of O Busto in Sierra de O Currel (Galicia), which consists of 15 buildings. Priced at 1,550,000 euros, this countryside property is located at an altitude of about 1,100 meters and includes 12 rooms and 25 accommodation places distributed across six country houses, a bar-restaurant, a multifunctional meeting space, and several storage areas. Additionally, there are 14 plots covering 40 hectares of land. Each residence is fully equipped, including a kitchen, a living room with a fireplace or wood stove, furnished bedrooms, and full bathrooms. The village also has designated parking areas and plans to install a shooting range.

The service infrastructure is excellent, with drinking water from a spring and a regular backup tank of 10,000 liters. The hot water supply and heating system runs on propane from an underground tank, with separate boilers for each residence. In addition, there is a septic system and solar panels for energy supply. The road to the village is paved with asphalt, offering views of various regional attractions. The surrounding area also offers plenty of hiking trails and outdoor activities.
O Busto is located near the town of A Pobra do Brollón, 12 kilometers away, where various services can be found, and 25 kilometers from Monforte de Lemos. Details about this property can be found on the website of the agency Grupo Country Homes. In a recent interview with Infobae España, Elvira Fafian, the head of the real estateagency Aldeas Abandonadas, noted a change in the profile of buyers of rural properties: more and more families from different countries and autonomous regions of Spain, as well as young people, are choosing the countryside as an alternative for a peaceful and economical life. This interest in rural areas has been made possible by the option of remote work and lower costs compared to urban areas.
