Jeffrey Epstein's luxury 18-room Paris apartment sold for $10m - report

A luxury 7,965-square-foot apartment in Paris was sold for about 10 million euros ($10.5 million), Bloomberg reports. It was purchased by Georgi Tuchev, who owns a plastic packaging company in Bulgaria. He paid less than the housewarming price of 11.9 million euros.
According to The Telegraph, the apartment, located on the prestigious Avenue Foch, was at the center of the French''s criminal investigation into multiple allegations of rape and sexual misconduct. A lawyer for Epstein's legacy told Bloomberg that proceeds from the sale will be used to compensate victims.
The deal between French company JEP, owned by Epstein's legacy, and Tuchev was finalized on June 29, according to a document seen by Bloomberg. The deal was finalized by Sotheby'\''s International Realty for the sum of 420 thousand euros.
The ad, which was later removed, did not mention the apartment's connection to Epstein. According to the ad, the apartment is located in one of the most luxurious buildings on Avenue Foch, located in one of the French capital's wealthiest neighborhoods, and offers a 'magnificent view' of the Arc de Triomphe.'''The apartment has eight bedrooms, a gym and two service studios.
Epstein invited many celebrities, including Britain's Prince Andrew, to his property, The Telegraph reported. The ad did not specify the property's connection to Epstein.
Epstein was arrested on sex trafficking charges in July 2019. He was found dead a month later, on Aug. 10, in a prison cell in New York City. Following the financier's death, French authorities launched their own investigation against Epstein on Aug. 23, 2019, following new allegations from French women.
U''Epstein had an extensive real estate portfolio. In 2021, his home in New York was sold for about $51 million and his Palm Beach estate was sold for $18 million.
The Gotmar company, owned by Georgi Tuchev, was founded in 1992 and produces plastic packaging for the food, beverage and cosmetics industries.
Sotheby'\'s, Gotmar and Tuchev did not immediately respond to Insider's inquiries.
