An auction was held in Pembroke, Georgia, where items belonging to the family of Alex Murdo, a former prominent lawyer from South Carolina, who was found guilty of murdering his wife and son, were being sold.

The auction took place last night, and many people came to see the items related to the Murdo case. When the auction doors opened at noon, it was quite stuffy and crowded inside the building. Those who purchased items had to navigate through the crowd to collect their new acquisitions.

Some visitors noted the unusual nature of the event after Alex Murdaugh was found guilty of murdering his wife and son. Items belonging to the Murdaugh family were sold for high prices. For example, the family's sofa was sold for $14,000.

The buyer, Philip Jennings, owner of Broomsedge Rod and Gun, stated that these items are very unique and he wants them to continue living on. He plans to display them in his mansion in Georgia and use them as conversation pieces.

In addition, several other items were sold at the auction, including a pair of lamps with legs made from turtle skulls, which were sold for $2,000. The auction was held without mentioning the Murdaugh family's name, but it was described as "a famous estate in South Carolina."

On the same day, a huge 1,700-acre plot of land owned by Murdo was also sold for $3.9 million. The proceeds from the sale will be divided among several people connected to the lawsuit that arose after the death of Paul Murdo's friend in 2018.

Alex Merdo was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his wife and son. He is also awaiting trial on charges of financial crimes amounting to approximately 9 million dollars.
