Mukwonago mansion for sale with luxurious palace-style decoration - summary option.

This month's auction will see the sale of a luxury mansion in Mukwonago, over 9,000 square feet, set on an isolated property with an extensive garden. The three-bedroom home with five full and two half bathrooms was built in 1999 and designed by D.N. Greenwald and his daughter Sherry Greenwald Towns for his family. The Greenwald Mansion features floor-to-ceiling windows on all four levels, numerous gold and copper ceiling murals, a crystal chandelier, an elevator and more.
The auction will be held at the mansion at S100 W31244 County Road LO, Mukwonago, on Saturday, October 28 at 11am. Open houses will be held every Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm until the day of the auction. The last open house will be held on Friday, Oct. 27, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The property will be sold at auction with no reserve to the highest owner, meaning it will go to the highest bidder no matter how much they bid and there is no minimum price.
What's special about the Greenwald Mansion in Mukwonago.
In addition to the features described above, Greenwald Mansion is also home to an extensive "palace garden" of over 106 acres.
The garden was modeled after the famous Palace of Versailles in France and contains fountains, exquisite pergolas and more than 20 detailed and personalized statues, including statues modeled after Greenwald family members, friends and idols.
The interior of the house is decorated with intricate marble and wood carvings and numerous fireplaces. Like garden statues, the meticulously painted murals on the ceilings of several rooms have personal touches.
Lee Searle is executive director of DeCaro Auctions International, the auction agency organizing the auction. She has been holding open houses at the mansion since Oct. 7.
"The property is about three-quarters of a mile from the road, and it is completely secluded. She's very beautiful," Searle said. "There's also what's called the 'Eagle's Nest' on the top floor of the building, and it offers 360-degree views of the entire area. It's just amazing.".
The winner of the auction will receive all the statues and garden items along with the property.

What is the value of the Greenwald mansion?
The mansion has been on the traditional real estate market for at least a year, Searle said. According to Zillow, the property was recently listed for sale at $4,933,300. However, that price does not affect the upcoming auction.
The sellers decided to put the mansion up for auction because it wasn't selling in the traditional market, Searle said. Proceeds from the auction sale will support the Greenwald family's nonprofit foundation.
"All proceeds from the sale will go to that foundation and will go back to Mukwonago," Searle said. "They are involved in arts and culture, but they have also donated funds for Prohealth Hospital in Mukwonago .... and they have the naming rights to the stage arts center at Mukwonago High School. "
