Kilkenny golf tourism promoted at an exhibition in Portugal
Tourism Ireland continues its active efforts to attract golfers from around the world. Last week they attended the International Golf Trade Show (IGTM) in Lisbon. Twenty-one golf and tourism operators from Ireland, including Mount Juliet Estate, participated in this important event for the global golf and tourism community. More than 1,300 golf tourism professionals from around the world gathered at this exhibition.
Companies from Ireland hosted four days of pre-planned meetings and networking sessions, providing a unique opportunity to negotiate and secure important contracts for 2024. Cindy Murray, Acting Head of Business Partnerships at Tourism Ireland said, "IGTM is a great opportunity to showcase our world-class golf.
"We also do not miss the opportunity to highlight that The Open will return to Royal Portrush in 2025 and the Ryder Cup will be held at Adare Manor in 2027. "Tourism Ireland will again do all it can to maximize the tourism potential of these prestigious sporting events in our important golf markets around the world. "
