The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) raided a warehouse in central Chon Buri where counterfeit dietary supplements for humans and animals were stored, causing damage of more than 10 million baht. The raid was in response to U.S. surveillance of Thailand for intellectual property rights violations and was based on information about the illegal sale of supplements through popular online platforms.

After receiving the information, DSI discovered a group secretly selling counterfeit products disguised as genuine goods at factory prices. The products were stored and sold in Chon Buri. On October 5, DSI officers with a court warrant inspected a warehouse where counterfeit dog products with fake' were stored'trademarks imitating the Antinol brand, reports KhaoSod.

The search resulted in the discovery of goods with fake trademarks at 29/65 Ban Suan 1 Alley, Ban Suan Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chon Buri.

Among the items found were veterinary inflammation medications, supplements for dogs and humans, and various items with counterfeit trademarks registered in the country by others. Other brands were also found, totaling more than 10,000 items. The market value or damage amounted to more than 10 million baht (US$270,709). Authorities seized the goods as evidence.

The defendants were charged with selling and possessing goods with counterfeit trademarks of others registered in''country, or in the purchase or receipt of goods known to have failed customs procedures. In order to protect consumers and prevent illegal activities, DSI will send a letter to the said online platform requesting their cooperation in inspecting and notifying the sale of trademark infringing goods in the future.
