Results: The special election for the State House District 139 in Georgia has concluded with a runoff.

Voting in the special election for Georgia Local 139 has ended and the results are in. No winners have been declared - candidates Sean Knox and Carmen Rice will battle it out on the re-election ballot.
The election was held in North Columbus and a small portion of Harris County following the departure of Georgia State Assemblyman Richard Smith in January.
The runoff will be held May 7 and will decide who will fill the remainder of Richard Smith's term after he leaves office.
Sean Knox emphasized that he is very pleased to see that people came out to vote for him and he is ready to continue his campaign with renewed vigor.
Carmen Rice, former chair of the local Republican Party chapter, also expressed gratitude for the support for her campaign and said she is ready to work further on her victory.
At this point, neither candidate had more than 50 percent of the vote to win outright. Both received just over 42 percent of the vote from Muskogee and Harris.
Repeated interviews with both candidates are available for viewing, and everyone is looking forward to the runoff election on May 7.
