After a string of hits, the "Type of Way" rapper sued his former record company Think It's A Game Entertainment, accusing it of fraud that robbed him of a $2 million contract. Although his music career hasn't brought in such fat checks in recent years, he claims to have earned more than $1 million from alternative approaches such as real estate. Last December, Quan participated in a Trapital podcast where he talked about his real estate pursuits.

He continues, "I was born and raised here, but now I'm moving my business to different states, buying smaller properties, restoring them, reselling them - doing it all." Rich Homie Quan continues to pursue music through an independent path. In July, he released his latest single "Got Yo Wingz" on his own label, Rich Homie Entertainment.
