Richard Grenell welcomes Serbian President Vucic to the White House for historic talks between Serbia and Kosovo.
Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic, arrived at the White House for the Serbia-Kosovo talks scheduled for 10 a.m. ET. Vucic was met by Richard Grenell, the special presidential envoy for the Serbia-Kosovo peace talks, and photos show that the two leaders were happy to see each other and were in good spirits.
President Vucic said before entering the White House that he was aware of the "arrogant statements" made by Albanian officials from Kosovo and Metohija regarding Serbia's recognition of Kosovo, but that "surrender is not an option".
Earlier today, Grenell urged both sides to put politics aside and use this opportunity for dialog, with the goal of creating a vibrant economy that will unite the region with the West. The talks are still ongoing.
