Growth in commercial real estate investment

Commercial real estate investment increased 18% by June, according to a report by consultancy Cushman & Wakefield.

"Commercial real estate investment recovered in the second quarter of 2023 compared to the previous quarter, with turnover of 499 million euros, bringing the first-half 2023 total to 749 million euros, reflecting an 18% year-on-year increase," says the consultancy, which notes that the Dom Pedro Group's six-hotel deal "was the main driver of this result" and accounted for around 50% of turnover.

The office market added a total occupancy of 38,320 square meters, 77% less than the same period in 2022.
