Russians opened 2,000+ firms in Serbia: apart from IT, these 5 areas are now the business hit in Belgrade.

The Russians in Belgrade are mainly engaged in financial activities, but also open restaurants, confirmed to the portal "Blitz Business". Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, Belgrade's sidelines had heard about the expansion of some teams and the recruitment of workers from Russia. There are now rumors that there are more of them because of the conflict in Israel. We checked how many companies they are opening and what business they have now in Belgrade.

Russians have opened more than 2,000 companies in Serbia: besides IT, these 5 areas are now their hit business in Belgrade.

One social media group claims that a new wave of Russians is coming to Serbia again. It seems that some new Russians are interested in living and working in Serbia, especially due to the conflict in Israel. Obviously, this rumor is true, meaning that some companies are relocating their business and Serbia has become one of the best destinations for them. However, according to Blitz Business, many of them have started opening restaurants. So it's not surprising that menus have long been in Russian in the center of the capital. They also open fast food restaurants and sell hamburgers.

The latest figures from the Business Registration Agency (BRA) also confirm this. As "Blitz Biznesu" was informed in AAP, as of today, the Register of Enterprises, which is maintained by the Agency for Registration of Enterprises, has 2,129 active enterprises, whose founders are individuals and legal entities from the Russian Federation.

We would like to remind you that, as the AAP confirms, in Serbia the procedure for registering companies is the same for both domestic and foreign individuals and legal entities. Real estate agents say that for wealthier Russian and Ukrainian IT professionals, the Serbian capital has become an attractive place to live. As far as renting is concerned, demand has grown considerably because more and more European companies that used to work in Russia have transferred their employees to us. However, their data does not show that demand for this type of service has increased this month. At least not yet.
