According to Karina, she and her family lived in Montenegro as tourists for the first year and then decided to buy an apartment. Buying real estate in Montenegro turned out to be very easy and quick compared to Russia, and they did not encounter any problems, including obtaining a residence permit. Karina says that they are not the only ones - many Russian families are also looking for a new home in Montenegro. Last year alone, Russian citizens spent about 39 million euros on real estate purchases, making them the largest foreign investors in the area.
