"The most expensive house in Bulgaria with a value of €10.5 million"

The modern glass mansion looks more suited for Hollywood than for historic Sofia. This contemporary glass mansion, covered in glass, may seem as if it just arrived from Beverly Hills, but it has appeared on the market about 6,600 miles away, in Sofia, the capital and largest city of Bulgaria.

"The biggest advantage of Sofia is that there is a mountain with a ski resort at the top nearby," said sales agent Hristo Angelkov from the international real estate company Bulgaria Sotheby’s International Realty, which listed the house for sale earlier this month. "This property is located in one of the most prestigious areas at the foot of the mountain, where new owners will be able to enjoy clean, fresh air, views of the mountain and the entire city, even from the infinity pool," Angelkov said.

This mansion is listed for sale at 10.5 million euros (11.5 million dollars), making it the most expensive home in the entire country located between Greece and Romania. Consisting of three floors and over 21,000 square feet, the gated property is described as the epitome of luxury, according to the listing by Bulgaria Sotheby’s International Realty, which put the house on the market earlier this month.

The sales agent couldn't express their opinion right away. Inside the three-bedroom house, there is an elegant modern style with an open layout featuring monochromatic white interiors, double-height ceilings, marble floors, and sculptural light fixtures hanging over the staircase and living area.

Outside, on a plot of land measuring nearly 3.6 acres, there is a large pool surrounded by greenery, including bonsai trees. Housing prices in Bulgaria have risen by 14.6%, placing it 13th in the ranking compiled by Knight Frank based on annual price growth in the third quarter of 2022. They have increased faster than in the USA, UK, Japan, and Canada, to name a few countries. Mansion Global was unable to determine the owner of the house or how much they paid for it.
