The most expensive home in Nashville's state history cost $65 million. Take a look inside.
If Twin Rivers Farm sells for close to $65 million, this colossal luxury estate in the Nashville suburbs could become the most expensive real estate transaction ever made in Tennessee.
Larry Keel, the retired co-founder of Oaktree Capital, one of the world's largest asset management firms, has put his 383-acre family estate for sale in Lapeer's Fork, nestled among forests and crisscrossed by rivers. He and his wife, Layan, have transformed the farm into a near-perfect state adjacent to a state wildlife refuge.
Architect Steve Giannetti of Franklin designed the estate.
His goal was to create a harmonious blend of indoor and outdoor spaces. The grounds include a guest cottage, gardens, riding trails and stables, a tipping pool, basketball and tennis courts, two private lakes and an orchard.
"The home is designed with a unique level of detail, with special attention to how interior and exterior spaces interact. It's really exciting," said selling agent Dan McEwan. "It's even hard to imagine what more one could wish for. "

"It's such a special place," McEwan said. "You can discover a lot of different experiences on this property. "

The most expensive real estate sale in the state was also made in Williamson County, according to the data. Country musician Alan Jackson's former home on Moran Road in north Williamson County was sold for $28 million in 2010. The closest competitor, on King Lane in south Williamson County, was sold for $27.5 million in 2019. In Nashville, a 60-acre parcel on Chickering Road in Bell Mead is currently on the market for $40 million.
