The most expensive house in Portugal, selling for 24.5 million euros, is located in the Algarve region, specifically in Albufeira and Olhos de Água. The total property spans 5,289 square meters, with a built area of 407 square meters, according to a study by Idealista.
The Algarve region, along with Lisbon, is the most expensive area for purchasing real estate in the country. The region leads the list with the three most expensive houses for sale. At the bottom of the list, after Albufeira and Olhos de Água, is a house in Quinta do Lago priced at 14.5 million euros, and a house in Vale do Lobo priced at 12.5 million euros.
The list of the ten most expensive properties also includes a palace between Ajitânho and Portinho da Arrábida, valued at 12 million euros, a mansion in Estoril worth 10 million, and an estate in Quinta do Lago, also in the Algarve, priced at 9.9 million euros.
Idealista also reveals information about the most expensive house in each district, including autonomous regions. After Faro, where the most expensive property is sold for 24.5 million euros, come Lisbon, Setúbal, Porto, Beja, Aveiro, and Santarém. The most affordable area in terms of price is Guarda. In this district, the most expensive property is located in Pinhel and can be yours for 1.2 million euros.
