Serbia and China have signed a free trade agreement that includes 10,412 Serbian goods and 8,930 Chinese goods, the Serbian government said.
In addition, the countries signed other agreements, including on economic development policy, on the promotion of industrial and investment cooperation between Serbia and China, as well as on the medium-term plan for joint participation in the Belt and Road initiative, the Serbian government said in a press release issued on Tuesday after the signing of the agreements in''Beijing.
Official figures show that trade between the countries in 2022 totaled $6.15 billion (€5.8 billion), with exports from the Republic of Serbia totaling $1.17 billion and imports from China totaling $4.98 billion.
Earlier this week, Serbia also signed two agreements with Chinese companies to build about 300 kilometers of road infrastructure worth up to 4 billion euros.
