The average price of secondary housing in the country has decreased by18% over the past year, and even if you buy at these lower prices, the investment returns will not be as high. According to a2018 CIBC report,44% of condominium investors in Toronto had negative cash flow - they were not receiving enough rental income to cover their expenses. And this was before the widespread increase in housing prices during the pandemic.
