T If you own property in Philadelphia, you are required to pay the city's property taxes. This year's bills are due by March 31, but you can pay now to avoid interest and penalties. Here are three quick ways to stay on top of paying your property taxes:

1. Pay Now

Pay your bill on''2023 in full and on time is the best way to avoid additional fees. The Philadelphia Tax Center makes it easy to view and pay your bill online. Use the "Property Search" link under "Property" to find and pay your balance. You can also select "Make a Payment" under "Payments" to begin the process. You will only need your property address or OPA number. Bills for this year were mailed in early December. If your bill is late or lost, you can still find your balance and pay online at tax-services.phila.gov.

2. Get help

It's always best to pay your bill on time, but if you're unable to do so, help is available. In addition to payment plans, the city offers a number of''Property tax abatement programs to help qualified Philadelphia residents deal with property tax debt:

  • You may be eligible for our military tax credit program, which suspends property tax payments for qualified Philadelphia homeowners. You must be on active duty outside of Pennsylvania and your primary residence must be in Philadelphia to qualify for this program.
