The truck was traveling from the village of Ban Dong Bang to the village of Ko Gok Magok. The 57-year-old driver, Tanarot, died at the scene, while the passenger sustained minor injuries. The rescue team took the injured person to the emergency department of Chao Phraya Apai Phubet Hospital.

The incident took place at the traffic light intersection of the village of Ban Dong Bang on the new road (Prachinburi - Ban Pakli) or Road 33 (the new road) in the village of Dong Kiek, Muang Prachinburi District. A journalist who arrived at the scene found that the accident occurred at a four-way intersection where the new road (Prachinburi - Ban Pakli) meets the main road leading from the village of Ban Dong Bang to the village of Ko Gok Magok, which connects the villages. There have been serious accidents here in the past, but the situation improved somewhat after the traffic light was installed. However, there are still cases of death and injury even when the light is red. It is necessary to consider how to rectify this situation.

The pickup driver, 57-year-old Tanarot, reported that before the accident, they were traveling from Nakhon Ratchasima, passing through Amphoe Prachan, and heading to a scheduled appointment with a doctor at Kai Jakrapong Hospital. There were three people in the car: the driver himself, his wife (the victim), and their son, who was sitting in the back seat. They were going straight when a motorcycle suddenly crossed the road.

At the scene, Sergeant Hongpon Chamsi of the Muang Prachinburi police station stated that after a preliminary investigation, video footage from surveillance cameras shows that at the time of the accident, the driver's motorcycle was running a red light. The police will conduct a further investigation to determine the causes of the accident and bring charges against those responsible.
