Passion among the stars: Dane Cook, 51, is marrying 24-year-old Kelsey Taylor, his girlfriend of six years.

In August 2022, Dane Cook and Kelsey Taylor announced their engagement. He was in his early 50s, she was 23. They've been officially together for five years. Despite the fact that this relationship is drawing criticism, Cook is trying to normalize his relationship with the young girl. And so, finally, they got married. Six years after starting their relationship, they had their wedding in Hawaii. The People publication has released exclusive details of the ceremony.
The wedding took place at a private villa on the island of Oahu in front of 20 guests. The couple chose Hawaii for their wedding because it is a place that holds a special place in their hearts and relationship. Hawaii was one of the first places they went together, and they keep going back there. The couple spent a week on vacation, including their wedding ceremony, and couldn't be happier to spend this special time surrounded by the beauty of Oahu.
They envisioned their wedding as a gathering of close family and friends. The celebration included a welcome barbecue, a visit to the jazz bar, as well as a pool party and a day at the beach. They wanted it to be something more intimate, with unity and fun. A full week of vacation with a wedding in the middle was exactly what they wanted! After all, there's nothing better than spending this special time with all of their favorite people.
The bride herself, Kelsey Taylor, chose a Grace Loves Lace "Solstice Gown" dress, which she paired with a Grace veil and clear shoes by Amina Muaddi.

For their wedding promises, the couple chose traditional promises. Kelsey admitted that she couldn't match Dane's speechmaking prowess, so she decided to keep the more intimate promises private and write him a handwritten letter on the morning of the wedding.
The wedding guests were greeted with fresh coconuts and dined by romantic lights accompanied by 80s music. Lunch, offered by Memoirs Hawaii, included salads and beef tenderloin with roasted carrots. Dessert options included vegan and gluten-free versions of vanilla cake from A Cake Life and Erin McKenna's Bakery, as well as chocolate strawberries and mini donuts. After all, you can never have too many desserts on your wedding day (and beyond)!
Despite all of this, weddings invite counter-versions and criticism. Kelsey was born in 1998, so it's hard to believe she grew up listening to music from the 80s. She was most likely raised to the sounds of Britney Spears, Pink, Justin Timberlake and possibly Norah Jones. But that's small things compared to everything else. I hope Kelsey got her wedding that she dreamed of as a child. But we'll see what happens next. It's a huge mess. (The first comment I saw on People Mag's instagram was "from groomer to groom" and I laughed for a long time).
