Mysterious ruined house disturbing neighbors creates mystery in northeast

The online valuation of a "beautiful house" is $300,000.
SAN ANTONIO
At first, the neighbors in the Pheasant Ridge community thought that the two-story empty house on 5300 Stormy Skies was being renovated, until Luis Montenegro, who lives next door, saw a man with a chainsaw on the roof.
“Something was wrong with the construction that they at least claimed to be carrying out,” said Montenegro.
The neighbors said that over time the roof mostly disappeared, along with the siding, windows, and practically everything else in just a few days.
“You can just look through the house, the sides, the front, just beams,” Montenegro said. “It’s just sad that such a beautiful house was destroyed like this.”
Timothy Davis, who lives nearby, said: "You would think that a tornado passed through and landed on this house, and then lifted back up."
According to him, there were no other damages nearby.
He said he is worried that the house will attract curious people, including neighborhood kids who aren't in school during the summer.
“What will stop them from entering this house and having something fall on them?” he asked.
Montenegro said that he approached a man who was photographing the house, as if assessing the damage.
“He said he is a contractor and will be working here in the house,” Montenegro said.
However, on Tuesday, a code inspector appeared at the house and issued a stop work order, which is given when there is no permit for the work being done.
The representative says that if permission is not granted, a summons to appear in court will be issued.
She also said that on Wednesday the inspector will come to decide what needs to be done with the house, including ensuring the safety of the property.
KSAT 12 NEWS learned that the house was previously involved in a lawsuit that led to eviction and foreclosure.
