Tan France: A dream home in Tudor style in Salt Lake City.
One of the standout elements in Frances's home is the luxurious wallpaper from de Gournay, which changes in warm tones and designs in each room, from the hallway with a muted green and floral pattern to the home theater with hand-drawn rice designs. "Rob is an artist and really draws attention to this, and I loved it because it felt sophisticated - like in the most luxurious hotels," says Frances.
Equally important for the Francises was creating a cozy space for their two little boys, Ismail and Isaac, who received a built-in nightlight depicting a scene inspired by one of Ismail's favorite books, "Goodnight Moon." "Before going to bed, Ismail wishes goodnight to everyone in the 'Mouse House,'" says Frans.
Meanwhile, for the fashion expert from Netflix, it was crucial for Frans and the Fox Group to create not just a dreamy house, but an even more dreamy wardrobe. Unlike the rest of the house, which is a blend of cultural aesthetics, the 1,000-square-meter wardrobe pays homage to the royal style of 19th century Pakistan, featuring vibrant colors, a wooden hanging swing, and authentic South Asian facades.
At first, Frans wasn't sure that his vision was feasible. "I was worried that it might look like a Disney imitation or a palette," he says. "I knew that [Fox Group] were nervous... It just took finding the right craftsmen to bring this vision to life, and they did the most incredible job.
For Tan France, whose career path is tied to helping others create their best style, creating the perfect home was an absolute act of self-care. "This is not a project we are doing for [someone else]. We had to remind ourselves that many people won't like it," says France. But for Tan, Rob, and their children, it is a true dream.

This 3,000-square-foot Tudor-style house from the 19th century was built using falling red bricks, dark wooden beams, and a selection of warm, handcrafted wallpapers. Tom Fox from Fox Group oversaw the architecture of the house. Emily Brooks Wayment was responsible for the landscape design.
