Tourists catch an orangutan washing its hands and drinking Sprite in its Indonesian home.

In Indonesia, an orangutan broke into a home, washed his hands with soap and drank Sprite

When traveling, it's always best to ensure all entrances to your accommodation. A group of tourists in Indonesia experienced this in a funny way - they woke up to an orangutan in the house they were staying in.

Besides exploring the house without dropping her baby, the monkey even washed her hands with soap and water and quenched her thirst with a soda.

One of the travelers shared this funny incident in a series of videos on TikTok.

Orangutan washes hands with soap in home invasion in Indonesia

The first video shows an orangutan and its baby near an open door. The tourist who shot the video explained that they woke up to this strange sight in their home. The orangutan then appears to go to the bathroom and washes his hands with soap found in an orange bucket. At this point, the group laughs and can't believe their eyes. The tourist who shot the video exclaims: "He's washing his hands with that soap!" His companions then laugh in disbelief and shoot their videos.

Soda bottles from the fridge and Sprite.

The orangutan somehow finds his way to the refrigerator, which contains bottles of soda. He then takes not one, but three bottles. It looks like they were Fanta with cherries, Coke and Sprite.

Even crazier, the orangutan then sits down next to the railing, opens a Sprite and enjoys the chilled drink.

Wiped the floor with hiking shorts and soap

The second video continues the orangutan's amusement at the tourists' house. This time he appears to be wiping the floor by the front door with soap and one of the tourists' underpants. "Oh, give me my pants back, dude!" - can be heard in the video. This hysterical incident serves as a timely reminder to lock your doors and windows, especially when you live abroad. Luckily, this intruder seems harmless and doesn't care about anything but hygiene and soda. But it's always best to be cautious.
