An amazing look inside one of the most expensive houses in the world - an incredible video.
The baroque estate covers over 300 acres of land and consists of six main structures: the chateau, gardens, grotto, Indian palace, Greek theater and greenhouse. Garcia purchased the chateau in 1992 and for the past 30 years has been restoring it and filling it with priceless art that belonged directly to the French royal family. The owner is supposedly acquiring new artwork for the chateau every day. The estate is so huge that even its square footage is unknown.
Formal gardens and canal
Conover began a tour of the formal gardens, which were wild fields when Garcia took them over for maintenance. Garcia began by building a 550-meter-long canal to keep all the fountains on the grounds running. Maintaining the intricate designs of the gardens requires the constant involvement of 15 of the best gardeners in Europe.
Indian palace
In the far corner of the gardens is an Indian palace created by Garcia using 600 containers of historic antiques.

The grotto and the library
Garcia allegedly came up with the idea for the grotto - a new addition to the estate - when he was bored during the pandemic. There are trees growing through the floor, statues, and a platform overlooking the garden. The castle is also a reader's paradise with a two-story library with over 20,000 rare books and a secret door to the game room. The castle has secret doors throughout, including a room with portraits, artwork and gold leaf roofs.
Tour completion
Conover concluded the tour by walking through the back door into the courtyard between the public and private residences. He thanked the Barnes International team for the opportunity to experience this unique place.
