Doubling the state's GDP in 5 years - statement by Chief Minister Govt. Pushkar Dhami at the road show of Uttarakhand Global Investor Summit 2023.

The Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said at the road show of Uttarakhand Investors Summit 2023 that the state government has set a target of doubling its gross domestic product (GDP) in the next 5 years.

Defining the relationship between Uttarakhand and Mumbai, he said that while Mumbai is the economic capital city of India, Uttarakhand is the spiritual capital of the country. The Strong Uttarakhand Mission and the Uttarakhand 2023 Global Investor Summit to be held on December 8-9 are also part of this mission, according to a statement by the Uttarakhand government.

He added that the single window system for obtaining approvals such as licenses was''improved in the state and a one-stop store system has also been launched for all other approvals required for setting up and operating a business. Dhami also informed investors at the road show that industrial groups will not face any problem in setting up businesses in Uttarakhand. According to the Uttarakhand Chief Minister, many policies have also been simplified to create an investor-friendly environment in the state.

Memorandums of understanding worth Rs 30,200 crore were signed between the Uttarakhand government and industrial groups during a road show in Mumbai.

Some of the groups that have signed memorandums of understanding for multi-million dollar deals with the Uttarakhand government include Imagica to set up theme parks, Atmantan''for setting up resorts, ACME for manufacturing solar panels, CTRLs for data centers in the state, Perfetti and Nsure Renewable Energy.

The state government signed an investment agreement worth Rs 26,575 crore in Delhi on September 14, along with another agreement worth Rs 12,500 crore in the UK on September 26 and 27, and an agreement worth Rs 15,475 crore in the UAE. Besides, agreements have already been signed for multi-million dollar investment projects in
