Carl Lagerfeld-branded apartments are popping up in Lisbon.
ROSHIP ON MAXIMUM LEVEL: Continuing its foray into residential projects, fashion house Karl Lagerfeld plans to build luxury apartments in Lisbon, Portugal. The ten units, occupying fully one or two floors, will be located between Rua Castillon Street and Avenida da Liberdade and will feature a "common garden lounge space" and several private pools.
Lisbon-based Overseas has partnered Karl Lagerfeld on the project, and was chosen because of its focus on high-quality projects with minimal impact on the environment and biodiversity. "We share the central values of innovation and improving the future, and I know this project will be a terrific addition to the rich and''to the vibrant city of Lisbon,' said Karl Lagerfeld CEO Pier Paolo Rigi.
"We want to build a benchmark of comfort and elegance, together with the highest environmental requirements in construction and operation," commented Pedro Vicente, CEO of Overseas. The Lisbon apartments will be Lagerfeld's fourth such project, highlighting the ever-increasing demand for branded living spaces.
In October, Karl Lagerfeld announced a partnership with UAE-based real estate start-up Taraf Holding to create luxury villas in Dubai.
Lagerfeld, who died in 2019 after an unparalleled career in fashion, tackled various interior and hotel projects during his lifetime. Over the summer, the spectacular 271-room Karl Lagerfeld luxury hotel opened in Macau, which had been in development for several years. It was designed entirely by the late German designer, who combined classic Chinese design with a modern Western aesthetic.
