The China-Bulgaria House of Journalists was opened in Sofia: a new cultural center for exchange and cooperation.
SOFIA, June 29 (Xinhua) - The China-Bulgaria Journalists' House was opened in Sofia on Thursday by the Chinese Journalists Association (CJA) and the Union of Bulgarian Journalists (UBJ).
At the opening ceremony, Chinese Ambassador to Bulgaria Dong Xiaojun said that the establishment of the new platform will bring "new opportunities for exchange and cooperation in media between China and Bulgaria" and "become an important platform for improving mutual understanding, exchange and learning."
Within the Journalists' House, journalists from both countries will hold forums and seminars, organize trainings and other activities, Doon said.
At the same time, Tian Yuhong, executive secretary of the AWC, said his association and the SBW had a successful cooperation for nearly 40 years.
"Journalism organizations in China and Bulgaria are good friends and partners, they always help each other and the friendship becomes stronger," Tian said.
The China-Bulgaria Journalists' House will not only deepen Sino-Bulgarian journalistic relations, but also create key opportunities for media exchange through the China-Central Europe and Eastern Europe Media Cooperation Platform, Tian added.
Snezhana Todorova, Managing Secretary of the BJS, said her part: "I have witnessed the development of our relations over the years. And I can confidently state that every year they are developing in an upward line".
The initiatives of the China-BulgariaHouse of Journalists will create a solid foundation for future successful cooperation," Todorova said.
During its opening ceremony, the Journalists' House announced the first joint project called "Meeting Roses".
