A new Advanced Energy plant is being built in Thailand
Advanced Energy Industries, a global leader in high-tech solutions for energy conversion, measurement and management, announced a groundbreaking ceremony for a new state-of-the-art plant near Bangkok, Thailand. The new facility is the next phase in the global expansion of Advanced Energy's manufacturing capabilities, which is committed to supporting future revenue growth.
The new 500,000-square-foot flagship plant is expected to employ about 2,500 engineers, technicians and operators at full capacity and has the potential to generate up to $1 billion in revenue annually. The plant will focus on products for the semiconductor market. In the long term''There are also plans to manufacture products for industrial and medical applications at the facility.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by members of Advanced Energy's senior management, representatives from several AE customers, key suppliers and local partners, including representatives''Laem Chabang industrial zone where the plant is being constructed.
