The former Kennedy family's French Riviera villa went on sale for $35 million.
The Domaine de Beaumont villa in the south of France, formerly owned by the Kennedy family, is now available for purchase. Situated on a sprawling 44-acre property in the Côte d'Azur countryside, this presidential-approved residence was built in 1920 by renowned French architect Jacques Quelle. From 1938 to 1940, the nine-room mansion served as a country home for the Kennedy family when their father, Joseph Patrick Kennedy, was appointed U.S. Ambassador to Great Britain. It can now be yours for €31.5 million (or approximately $35 million).
"This is a truly unique property just 10 kilometers from the bustling city of Cannes, where you enter a historic building surrounded by exceptional land and views where peace, privacy and space are important," Bruno Grua, Savills' representative for the French Riviera, told The New York Post.
The 12,486-square-foot Provençal-style villa looks incredibly chic. There's a huge marble staircase, stunning wood trim, gleaming chandeliers and lots of period details.

The real highlight of this property, however, is its grounds. In addition to the historic villa, there is a heated marble pool, tennis court, olive grove and picturesque flower gardens. If you are interested in horseback riding, you can additionally purchase stables and a quarry.
"This estate is a true gem for lovers of architecture, nature and history," the ad says.
