Damien Hirst's Shining Light exhibition brings to Chateau La Coste.
Currently on display at the Chateau La Coste in Provence, France is Damien Hirst's "The Light That Shines" exhibition. The exhibition covers 500 acres of land and takes up the entire Chateau La Coste with Hirst's extensive oeuvre housed in five pavilions.
More than 90 sculptures and paintings are on site, including well-recognized works and pieces such as the Empress Paintings that have never been exhibited before. Each area has been carefully selected with the environment in mind, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in a unique visual experience. A perfect example of this approach is the placement of the Natural History series of works in the Renzo Piano Pavilion.
Meanwhile, outside, large-scale sculptures are intentionally scattered throughout the estate. Works such as the anatomical sculpture "Anthem" greet visitors at the entranceway, while the centaur-like "Gilonoma" seems to point in the direction of the exhibition's starting point.
The exhibition "The Light That Shines" is currently underway and will run through June 23, 2024. More information can be found on the official website of Château La Coste. Chateau La Coste, 2750 route de la Cride, 13610 Le Puy-Sainte-Reparade, Aix-en-Provence, France.
