President of the Kosovemitrov Municipality Provisional Body, Ivan Zaporozec, said today that thanks to the Serbian Government, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, 948 apartments have been built in the territory of this municipality. Zaporozhets, at the celebration of Municipal Day and the anniversary of the city's liberation in World War II, also said that since the beginning of the year, construction has begun on an additional 116 housing units. He also recalled other realized projects for the last period.

"The most important thing is that the second phase of the construction of the Rectorate building has been completed. Work has been carried out on the reconstruction of KBK, and a new phase of its reconstruction is planned for next year," he said. He added that significant purchases of medical equipment were made, a PCR laboratory was built, an interactive multimedia center was created, a chapel in Rudaru, fountains, a traffic circle, a new bridge on the site of Dudin krš. "And lately, as you know what our country has done, we have gotten medicines for our hospitals. New jobs have been opened in the clinical and hospital center and in other institutions, and our task in the future will be to open more jobs and to emphasize the employment of young married couples," Zaporozec said.

He also spoke about the anniversary of the liberation of the city in World War II, emphasizing that this day is a symbol of valor and resistance that the Serbian people demonstrated. "Let us remember the moments when our forefathers bravely stood up in defense of our city.

He emphasized that the most important thing now is to keep the peace so that our existence in these places is possible. "Let today be a reminder that peace is a value to be preserved and nurtured. He added that this anniversary is also a reminder of the importance of education and awareness of our nation's history. "The younger generation must know what happened, appreciate freedom and pledge to preserve the same values that brought us to it," he said.

He emphasized that the presence of the Serbian state is a constant support for Kosovska Mitrovica and the Serbian people.
