Zeekr 001 FR: 1,265 hp and acceleration from 0-62 mph in 2.07 seconds - A station wagon for speed and power.

The electric Chinese station wagon Zeekr is equipped with four motors for power and the ability to turn in place. It aims to compete with the M3 Touring.

In a short time since its inception in 2021, Zeekr has already introduced the 001 station wagon, the X crossover, and the 009 minivan, and now this electric vehicle brand owned by Geely wants to enter the market for sports station wagons. They plan to do this with the 001 FR model. It seems they have truly managed to deliver high performance. Four silicon carbide electric motors (one for each wheel) produce an astonishing power of 1265 hp, allowing the car to accelerate to 100 km/h in just 2.07 seconds. In comparison, the three-motor Tesla Model S Plaid claims to reach 100 km/h in 1.99 seconds from the same start.

Zeekr actually calls its model 001 a "shooting brake," but it is clearly a station wagon and could compete with the Audi RS6 if it were to leave its native China. Unfortunately, this seems unlikely, even though standard deliveries of the 001 will begin in Europe next month.

Recommended real estate
The 001 FR model is equipped with a 100 kWh battery pack and an 800 V architecture, allowing it to charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 15 minutes. It features Brembo brakes to stop the car and a carbon fiber body to reduce weight and increase aerodynamic efficiency. And since each motor is individually controlled with special torque vectoring software, it can even turn in place like a tank.

It is also reported that the FR (which apparently stands for "Future Roads," although it seems someone forgot to order the letter "F" for the emblem on the car in the images) has a built-in "satellite communication package" that connects to Geely's own satellites to ensure a constant signal. We promise this is not made up. In general, this is pretty much all we know about this crazy station wagon right now. Additionally, only 99 units will be released each month.
