Many Sussex fans were scared that Harry and Meghan would shut down for months after the Invictus Games in Germany. Well the Sussex winter hibernation season is canceled! Harry and Meghan were active in Santa Barbara on Friday, less than a week after the Invictus ceremony closed. Meghan and Harry attended Kevin Costner's One805 charity event, which was held at his huge Santa Barbara estate, the same one his ex-wife refused to leave until a judge ordered her to do so. The purpose of the event was to raise funds to support the financial and psychological health of first responders in the Santa Barbara community, and it seems there were a lot of police and firefighters there.

Honestly, I didn't even know Kevin Costner was familiar with Sussex, but given the close-knit community with money in Santa Barbara/Montecito/Carpinteria, it doesn't surprise me that Sussex is known to celebrities in the area. It looks like the Sussexes were something of VIP guests at the event, they took the stage with Costner and Meghan presented him with some sort of award. Oprah was also there, as well as Adam Levine (he performed).

Meanwhile, Harry saw how enthusiastic his team were about his all-black look at the Invictus Games and said: "I'll do it again!"

One of the best parts of the Sussexes' appearance is that it was clear from the social media videos that Meghan and Harry were hugely popular, and everyone was excited about their visit. Harry chatted about polo and golf, Meghan acted like the perfect social lady.
